Advocates For Autism of Massachusetts (AFAM)

Advocates for Autism of Massachusetts (AFAM) was formed in 2004 to address the need for public advocacy on behalf of individuals, families and professionals who have, or work with people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The organization, which evolved out of the statewide Coalition for Autism, provides an important arena for mobilizing individuals with ASD, parents, and professionals.  The goal of AFAM is to ensure that the human and civil rights of people with ASD are protected and to ensure access to the essential supports and services that are necessary so that people with ASD may live life fully and enjoy the same opportunities as others throughout the Commonwealth.
