Thank you for your interest in contributing to Massachusetts Advocates for Children.  MAC is a private, non-profit organization, and your donation is completely tax-deductible.

Because MAC is an independent advocacy organization, we do not accept any funds from government sources that will compromise our ability to advocate effectively on behalf of children or families.  Therefore, we rely very much on private donors - individuals and foundations - to support our high quality advocacy work.

Here are the ways you can donate to MAC:

  1. You can download our donation form, fill out and mail to MAC at:
            Massachusetts Advocates for Children
            25 Kingston Street, 2nd. Floor
            Boston, MA  02111

  2. You can contact our executive director, Jerry Mogul, if you are interested creating a special fund or learning about planned giving options.
  3. You can donate on-line through our secure payment service or through PAYPAL

Our Annual Appeal

Dear Friend,

Your support enables us to change lives!:

“Adrien” is a 16 year old with Asperger’s syndrome who was suicidal and on the verge of
dropping out of school because he was being bullied. MAC’s advocacy enabled him to
enroll in a new program in the school district which he now attends daily and which
nurtures his talents as a creative writer.

“Renaldo” was in 8th grade with first grade reading skills, in fights constantly, and about
to be expelled. Our advocacy enabled him to stay in school and then get the right
placement which will attend to his learning needs and focus on his many strengths.

“Maria” has an intellectual impairment and at 20 was being schooled in a segregated
classroom, like many young adults with severe disabilities who can’t pass MCAS.
Through the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Program, she attended college, learned
how to travel independently, and now at 23 works part time in an animal shelter and takes
classes at the local art museum.

There are many, many others like them, children and young people of all ages, who are
now in better schools or are getting better services that will enable them to thrive. And to
give their parents much-needed peace of mind.

We have had a tremendously successful year, both by assisting over 900 children through
our Helpline and by enabling so many others to benefit from our systemic advocacy: new
laws, stronger protections, more funding, better programs, greater collaboration.

You can get a sense of our accomplishments throughout the year here.

We hope that you will consider joining our family of supporters so that children and
young people like Adrien, Renaldo and Maria can benefit.

Your gift to us will make an enormous difference in the lives of so many. We know
from experience. Would you be able to help us reach more deserving families?

Donate securely online or send your check today. If your employer has a matching gift program, your donation may qualify thereby doubling your donation!

For 40 years, MAC has responded to the needs of children who are vulnerable because of poverty, race, limited English or disability and does not intend to stop. With education reform continuing to occupy a high priority on the state’s policy agenda, and with the severe economic crisis facing Massachusetts families, MAC is needed now, more than ever.
