When MAC conducts research and writes policy reports, it is only done in combination with its other strategies, as part of its multi-strategic advocacy approach.  

In the Boston School Reform Initiative, MAC analyzes data on student achievement and develops policy positions as a central feature of its technical assistance to the Black Ministerial Alliance, the Latino Education Action Network and the Boston Parents Organizing Network. It uses similar policy analyses to support its leadership role in the Voices for Children Coalition.

As part of its initiation of the Trauma and Learning Policy Center, MAC is nearing completion of a major report, "Helping Traumatized Children Learn," which will be a roadmap for schools and teachers to help them provide more effective education to children in their schools who are experiencing trauma from domestic violence.
